LEGO Minifigures Online

The LEGO train keeps chugging along, and why not? Just a couple weeks after the release of LEGO Jurassic World (which will undoubtedly be available for Mac and iOS before long), the toy line gets another new release with LEGO Minifigures Online. This one comes from Funcom, and will be available for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android on June 29, 2015.

LEGO Minifigures Online doesn’t tie directly into a specific franchise, but instead will allow gamers across all platforms to play in the same persistent online world, making it easier than ever to play with friends and freely switch between platforms to keep the game going wherever players may be.

The game saw a limited run as a free-to-play PC title, and will now release across desktop and mobile platforms as a buy-to-play game. The developers at Funcom have spent months overhauling the game in preparation for this launch, and have created new features and content such as unique events, cinematics, voice acting, and an engaging story.

LEGO Minifigures Online is an online game for LEGO fans of all ages, where players can collect over one hundred Minifigures, each with their own unique personality and abilities, and build a team to take on exciting adventures through colorful, classic LEGO worlds. From Pirate World to Space World, players must play together and smash their way through aliens, sea monsters, and more to unlock the full potential of their Minifigures. Along the way, players will also encounter plenty of that great, universal LEGO humor! The game is KidSafe certified and fully COPPA-compliant, with multiple safety measures in place to ensure a fun and secure online experience for everyone.

The actual payment methods will vary by device, but are certainly fair. When it’s released on June 29th, LEGO Minifigures Online for PC, Mac and Linux will cost $29.99, and will include all content. The iOS and Android versions, on the other hand, will cost only $4.99, but you’ll only get the first world. iOS devices will be able to purchase additional worlds starting June 29th, while Android users will be able to purchase more worlds later this summer.
