Merry Christmas: Free DivX Pro for everyone

We live in an Apple world. With iPods, iPhones, and Macs increasing in popularity every day, so does Apple’s favorite H.264 video codec. Sure H.264 looks really good, even at a small file size. But H.264 is not the only thing out there. A lot of video discovered on the Internet is in the popular DivX codec. And in an effort to promote their product, DivX is giving away their player and convertor, which normally retails for $19.99, for free for a limited time. Even if you aren’t a DivX fan, it’s always good to be able to play DivX files that you get online, and now, you will even be able to create your own files. I don’t know if this move will save DivX, but anything free is good for me.
