Steve Jobs has already announced that an SDK is coming this February in both an open letter and in the Macworld keynote. It will be for both the iPod Touch and the iPhone. But Steve did not say whether they would both receive the same SDK. Apple may want to put more limitations on the iPod Touch, because otherwise iPhone sales would fall in place of it. I personally can’t wait for the SDK. I used to use the Jailbreak back when I first got my iPod Touch – but it was really slowing down. Ever since I restored it, it has performed better – but I’ll admit the Jailbreak had excellent 3rd party apps, as well as the 5 iPhone apps that you now have to pay for. The SDK should be good, so long as Apple allows developers to create what they want – without them having to be verified first.
