It's Showtime? The rumors don’t end at Macworld. TUAW has received information that Apple will be holding a special event on February 26th. The company that does the video coverage of Apple’s live events, Mira Mobile, is apparently hiring for an Apple event in late February. This is, of course, an unconfirmed rumor with little evidence so far – but other sites have contributed their share of “information”, too. AppleInsider has also received tips on an “unusual number of visual resources” for late February. 9to5mac, the site that brought the “Fat Nano” rumor to the internet, is claiming that 26th of February is the exact date for this event.

The most obvious thing to be released is the iPhone SDK – something that Steve promised would be released in February/March. Another product that has had a lot of rumor attention recently is the MacBook Pro. It has been over 250 days since the MacBook Pro’s last update according to MacRumors’ Buyer’s Guide; the average update time being 186 days. The main focus of the Macworld 2008 keynote was the MacBook Air. It’s a great new ultra-portable laptop, but it’s designed for a different audience to those who want the MacBook Pro. Intel have got some new processors, and NVIDIA are readying to release their new line of 9M mobile graphics cards. The new MacBook Pro is becoming a realistic rumor.
