UK hotel chain adds iMacs to the list of in-room amenities

If you happen to be visiting London or Manchester in the UK, you’ll now be happy to know that the popular hotel chain City Inn is putting a brand new iMac in every room of the hotel.

City Inn has partnered with a software company that is providing a system that will enable guests to use the iMac as a TV, radio, DVD and CD player. In addition to being able to use the iMac as a media centre, you’ll have full access to the iLife suite, Office apps and the Internet.

Another piece of software that they are integrating into the iMacs is Faronic’s Deep Freeze software. This software makes sure that no data is recorded on the iMac’s hard drive, and when the guests the checkout, the system returns to the default state.
