$40,000 iPod Shuffle with 430 diamonds or 100 iPhones?

If that gold-plated iPhone, MacBook Pro and iPod weren’t enough, this 18 karat white and pink gold iPod Shuffle just might be… This $40,000 iPod Shuffle is complete with 430 diamonds, and sure to catch some attention. Shiny gadgets are nice, like the iPhone, but literally shiny, doesn’t do it for me. I’m just afraid I’d lose this Shuffle and waste 40 grand. Anyway, some rich dude will have this iPod Shuffle, named “iDiamond.” (creative naming!) The iDiamond is being auctioned in London for charity.

Think though, $40,000.00! Imagine what you could do instead of a nice and flashy iPod Shuffle. I did a little math and found out that, you could get 100 8GB iPhones. Sure your phone bill would be pretty nice if you didn’t jailbreak them, but you could also make a 350 inch display out of all of them.
