ForkLiftIt took BinaryNights six months, but it’s finally here. The popular file utility, ForkLift, has been fully ported to Leopard, and has gone to version 1.5. Almost half of the original code was rewritten, so this isn’t a minor release. 1.5 sports a new UI, new features, and many bug fixes.

First off, FTP/WebDAV/S3/iDisk volumes are written to ten times faster due to the addition of multiple channels and connections. BinaryNights claims ForkLift is the fastest client out there, but we’ll have to test that out at a later date. The interface has been completely redone and is more Finder-like, which improves workflows. Favorites have also been enhanced, with such additions as group creations, and QuickLook has been integrated, bringing the convenience of QuickLook right to ForkLift. Of course, all the old favorites such as the batch renamer, application deleter, archives management, and more are still there.

A 15 day trial is available for download, and ForkLift sells for just $29.95.
