Storyist treats Mac writers, novelists with powerful software

Storyist Software, a well known creative software maker for the Mac OS, has announced its new software for novelists and screenwriters. Storyist offers a complete platform for users to work on, including a full function word processor with features such as a spelling and grammar checker, page layout view that supports headers, footers and style sheets.

In addition to the word processor feature, Storyist also provides storyboard functionality with virtual index cards and corkboards, story sheets (where writers can refine plot, character and location elements), a project manager for organizing manuscripts and notes, Wiki links for linking notes to pages on the Internet, and project templates for quick writing experience.

Storyist is available online as a $59 download. The boxed CD version costs an additional C$10. It runs on Mac OS X v10.4 and higher.
