VectorDesigner, a “vector drawing application designed to be simple, intuitive and powerful to use,” has been updated to version 1.3.0, and offers rulers and slides along with the usual bug fixes. With a price tag of $69.95, VectorDesigner won a MacWorld Expo Best of Show award in 2008, and does allow you to download a trial version. This design tool can be used to make brochures, stickers, logos, or almost any other type of web design you can think of. It also comes with advanced tools for performing geometric operations, and contains a built-in Flickr browser so you can search the web for textures and images from the VectorDesigner interface.
VectorDesigner supports Tiger, but it is recommended for use within Leopard on a computer that contains at least 512MB of RAM. It can import and export both PDF and EPS files, and the layers are powered by the Core Image and Quartz Composer technologies. Head on over to their site and watch some intro and tutorial videos to see if it’s for you. It looks like the developers have spent a lot of time on this app, so be sure to thank them and support further development if you’re interested!
