Here comes another portable speaker system that works well with the iPod, the iPhone and other digital music devices: the Grandmax Tweakers Mini-Boom speakers. Comprising two mini-speakers, Tweakers measures a few inches tall, has a rounded top and flat bottom, and retracts to as small as four inches long. When the Tweakers are retracted, it fits well in the grip of your hand.
Other features of Grandmax include: built-in re-chargeable batteries offering 5 to 7 hours of play, and the ability to connect to a laptop and play music even if you are recharging its batteries.
These iPod speakers are also apparently durable. During a test, a Grandmax employee dropped the speakers from about 1.2192 meters. When the employee plugged in the Tweakers, it was as if nothing had really happened.
Tweakers are slated to go on sale later this month, and their SRP could go around $39.95.
