Magnetism Studios, makers of everything from Mac apps to cool t-shirts, have publicized not one, not two, but four apps they will be bringing to the App Store at launch. These Apps include FileMagnet, MetroMagnet, TileSudoku, and Mr. Shuffle.
MetroMagnet
The first of the four apps is MetroMagnet. MetroMagnet provides the user with an easy way to view subway maps, along with light rail and bus routes. Aside from just telling you where trains are and where they go, the app can use the iPhone location based API to tell you where the nearest Subway entrances, bus stops, and train stations are located. MetroMagnet can even link directly to Maps to tell you how to get there. The best part is that all of this info is stored on your phone, so you can view it without service, say, when you are actually on the subway. When you are above ground, you can connect to the transit agency’s website to see real-time service advisories. This app will cost $3 and is planned for release at the launch of the App Store.
FileMagnet
The next app from Magnetism Studios is FileMagnet. FileMagnet is an easy-too-use, good looking Mac-to-iPhone file transfer application. The app is made up of two parts: the Mac side and the iPhone side, both of which run simultaneously to provide the user with almost instant file transfers. This App will be very useful for people who will be transporting documents on their phone. No word yet on a price or availability.
TileSudoku
TileSudoku is Magnetism’s take on the popular game. This is what would happen if Scrabble and Sudoku had a child together. The user uses tiles to fill in spaces, and can place multiple tiles in one slot if he/she is uncertain of the actual number. A hint feature is included to help the user. This App will be $5 and is probably going to be available at the launch of the App store.
Mr. Shuffle
The final app from Magnetism is Mr. Shuffle. Mr. Shuffle is a for-your-entertainment app, and will probably turn into a good time waster. Mr. Shuffle is a Mr. Potato Head-esque application in which you can assemble various cartoon facial features into a picture. You can also import pictures from your phone and edit those instead. Mr. Shuffle will sell for $3 at its App Store debut.
