Qik sure was quick to announce they will be supporting the iPhone on their live video streaming service next week. Especially considering their competitor, Flixwagon, announced they would be supporting the iPhone in July. Qik is a web based video streaming service that allows the end user to stream video right from their cell phone from anywhere they have a data connection. The streams are automatically recorded and stored on Qik’s servers so that people can watch them later if they missed them live.
The streaming from Qik looks completely awesome and pretty smooth. I’m sure Qik is going to be getting a lot more users now that the iPhone will be supported, as I, for one, will now be able to use this service. Congratulations to the Qik team and developers for listening to their users and adding support for the iPhone. I’m sure there are plenty of people out there who can’t wait until next week so they can try this service out for themselves. As I’ve been saying, this is just another app adding to the functionality of the iPhone, giving customers another reason to get one. The iPhone just looks better and better every day.
