AddMovie Software for Mac
For those who are on the lookout for a nifty Mac application to edit short movie files, the AddMovie software from Limit Point might just be what you need. This utility lets you concatenate several image or movie files into one single movie and gives you the option to save the output in any movie format supported by QuickTime. Basically, you can use this to produce a refererence movie to save up disk space on your Mac or just a self-contained movie file.

One good feature of AddMovie is that it gives you the option to put a demarcation line between movie segments to separate them from each other, but only if you save your final movie file in .mov format. In addition, you can convert a collection of movies in batch to other movie formats, provided these formats are supported by the QuickTime player you have in your Mac.

Other things you can do with this Mac application include extracting movie audio tracks into separate files, splitting movies into two separate movies arbitrarily, setting movie poster frames, and saving movie frames as images.

The AddMovie software is part of Limit Point Software Utilities Bundle which is composed of several utilities. If you’ve purchased said bundle, you may register the AddMovie as a software upgrade for free. It works with Mac OS X 10.4 and above.
