iPod Death ClockThe iPod Death Clock gives you an unaccurate guess as to when your iPod will die. I’ve had two iPods die in my iPod career, and would’ve found it handy to have an idea when to take mine in for repair before it was too late.

My 1st gen iPod Nano passed away from a hardware flaw. I used the hold button so much, it just got stuck in once, and the iPod worked, but was just always on hold. I could still sync it and charge it, but it wasn’t of much use. I then decided I had to crack it up and say hello to it’s guts. I found a few articles online about how to fix this problems, as I apparently wasn’t the first. I tried removing it so it just wouldn’t have the hold functionality, but at least I’d still be able to use it. This didn’t solve the problem, so we tried some other methods, all of which failed.

iPod Death Clock Questions

I wanted a new iPod anyway, so I now have a 3rd gen iPod Nano.

Hope you enjoyed my iPod death story. You might not have one, and can hopefully avoid them with the iPod Death Clock. If you do, though, feel free to share in the comments.
