If you find the stock gray and white keyboard on your iPhone or iPod Touch to be boring and ugly, you’re in luck. You can now get a keyboard designed like that of the MacBook Air through Installer.app on a jailbroken device. Although the article over at Macsimum News says the keyboard made them “type faster” and “make less mistakes,” the keys look the same size as the usual keyboard.
Stuff like this makes me think about what Apple is going to allow on the iPhone through the SDK. Although this isn’t really an “application,” it is something cool that some users may want. However, Apple probably won’t allow something like this to be available through the App Store which, again, makes jailbreaking the device a viable option. If Apple really wants to blow people away with the SDK more than they already have, they are going to have to make jailbreaking a non-factor.
