With the September 9th Apple event looming, possibilities are almost endless. Rumors of new iPods, Macs, iTunes 8 and more abound, and many people cannot wait until the 9th to sink their teeth into some new Apple goodies. One of those new goodies could be iTunes 8, and rumors point to that not just including the regular “bug and stability fixes,” but also many changes and new features. One of those rumored new features is the addition of a new visualizer. According to Vimeo user flight404, he has gotten his hands on a leaked video of the newest iTunes visualizer.
Magnetosphere Visualizer (Audio by Tosca)
Supposedly, the video above is a leaked preview of the newest addition to iTunes: the Magnetosphere Visualizer. Although this is only a revamped version of a widely available iTunes plug-in, signs point to this one being included with the next release of iTunes. Interestingly, the company behind the original Magnetosphere, the Barbarian Group, was recently sold to a third party and the download links for Magnetosphere removed. Although the aforementioned “third party” has not been disclosed, it very well may have been Apple themselves, in anticipation of adding the visualizer to iTunes 8.
