iPod nano renderDigg co-founder Kevin Rose practiced a slick bit of nerdvoyance with his predictions for the Apple “Let’s Rock” event. Not only did Rose get every “prediction” right, he also had leaked product photos. The gang at Gizmodo figure that Apple’s looking to plug some leaks right about now, as Rose obviously had inside info.

  • Revamp of entire iPod line.
  • Small cosmetic changes to Touch, Nano to see significant redesign (see pic).
  • iPods to see fairly large price drops to distance itself from the $199 iPhone.
  • iPod touch 2.1 software, iPhone to get update very soon after.
  • iTunes 8.0 (“it’s a big update w/new features”).

It’ll be interesting to see what reaction, if any, Apple has to this. They’re certainly a litigious company when it comes to guarding their secrets, but Digg is, well, Digg, and if the users there were willing to take on the DRM for HD-DVD, then Apple’s going to have a hard time cowing them into submission.

As for the crew at Appletell, some of us found reason to support the prognostication, while others were were skeptical of Rose’s predictions:

“There’s just no way any of this stuff he’s spewing has merit. If he’s right, it’s a complete fluke.”

Oops! So, then, stay tuned to Appletell for more news you can trust!
