There were a lot of new apps on the App Store this week, and a good portion were of very high quality. Check out these apps to pass the time this weekend.
Maze Finger – Drag your finger, which apparently is a WMD (weapon of maze destruction), to obliterate any hint of a path from point A to point B. It’s bursting with stunning visuals and sound effects. It even claims to have intense arcade-style touch screen action, though the last time I played a touch screen game that wasn’t on my iPhone, I was playing a slot machine in a casino, so…whatever. In any event, this looks pretty fun.
PAC-MAN Lite – Who doesn’t love PAC-MAN? I mean, seriously. You already know what this is. There’s only one level, but who knows, maybe that’s enough to satisfy the craving.
iBall3D – Here’s a great alternative to Labyrinth and the like. Actually, this has the potential to be way better. It’s fully 3D, but the camera is fixed. The only sub-awesome part of this game is that there are only 9 levels, though they are difficult, so you’ll waste a good chunk of time with this one.
rRootage – A classic shoot ‘em up. You pilot a ship that looks like a spinning bundle of sticks. Just keep shooting, and kill everything that moves. Unfortunately, there is no sound…yet. Let’s hope the dev can add that in soon.
JellyCar – I talked about it before, and now it hit the App Store. Drive a gelatinous car and platform in this puzzler. Don’t forget, tap the truck to make it huge. I simply love the art style in this game; makes me want to play LittleBigPlanet that much more.
