When it comes to a consumer oriented smart phone, the iPhone is right up there at the top of the list along with your favorite Blackberry and other phones. However, until recently, the iPhone hasn’t really been noticed nor used as a business oriented phone. With recent updates including Exchange and other business features, this has changed. So much so, in fact, that J.D. Power and Associates has found Apple’s iPhone to be ranked #1 in business user satisfaction in their latest survey of 1,388 smart phone users.
This survey was conducted using the following categories weighted by their percent:
Ease of operation (27%)
Operating system (24%)
Physical design (21%)
Handset features (18%)
Battery aspects (10%)
With a possible 778 points out of 1,000, Apple’s highest areas were ease of operation, physical design, and handset features, all of which come at no surprise. Apple also managed to beat RIM and Samsung in this survey for most of the areas. It’s great to see the iPhone being recognized by such a prestigious company as one of the best phones on the market. With this under its belt, the iPhone is now 100% ready and qualified for the business and consumer based environments. Let’s hope Apple can keep up the good work!
