In an unsurprising move, Reed Exhibitions announced today they will not be holding Apple Expo Paris 2009.
Apple has been pulling out of the Paris event for a few years now, which should have been a hint to all of the other trade shows. In 2005, Jobs’ keynote was cancelled, and in 2008, Apple pulled out completely stating that they were participating in fewer of these type of events. Sound familiar? Now, following Apple’s lead, the whole event has been cancelled.
IDG claims Macworld 2010 is still a go, with or without Apple. But 2011? Your guess is as good as mine, and I’m guessing it won’t happen. In the meantime, I’m going to enjoy Macworld 2009 like it’s the last.
