Almost certainly not, but these images have been circulating around the net, so you’d better see them now.

The first image looks like it’s been taken with the industry standard shaky/crappy camera phone of the employee who’s afraid of getting fired, but not afraid enough to stop leaking images anonymously. But, there’s a dead giveaway that this is a fake: the lid gap. I’m doubting the Mac mini needs its own tiny screen, and I’m also doubting Apple would interrupt one of their flawless designs like such. The other giveaway is that the second image is clearly not a photo, and it doesn’t share the lid gap. Rather, both of these images have likely been ” ‘shopped.” Both pictures show heavy influences from the newest MacBook designs. I actually like this design, as it matches the rest of Apple’s products.
These images do bring up an interesting question. If the recent Mac Mini rumors materialize, (how) will Apple redesign the case of the Mac Mini?

I hope it will be easy to pop open and upgrade the RAM and hard drive, like the new MacBooks. The worst thing about the current MacMini is the difficulty in upgrading it.
I agree, I'd love to see Apple make the Mini easy to open, but I doubt they'll bite on that one since they'd rather have an uninterrupted design at the expense of accessibility. I had to replace a hard drive on a Mac Mini a few months ago and it was very nerve racking. I felt like I was going to break the poor little thing every step of the way. Thankfully, I fixed it.
They both look kool as heck…and chances are…they have redesigned the Mac mini…its had the same design since inception and apple never keeps the same design for this long on any product…
new macbooks, pros, bet there will be a change in the iMac's too…to do the glass to the edges and such like the laptops and the cinema display…and to make it more green…
i expect that this also is going to be worth the wait…the mac mini is still in the top selling computers for apple…and there is little chance that they will neglect it any further…its just those unibody macbooks took alot of work to get made…now we will see the new mini's and iMac's
cant wait till january…yeah
that image is fake as they come…. but i for one would like to see an updated mac mini though! features i'd like to see – better graphics capabilities, even as an option, would be VERY welcome, as well as the features you guys mentioned – i helped a friend upgrade her RAM in hers and it wasn't fun i tell you!
