When you first launch iResolve, you are greeted by the default game image and and ad-share ad. Not cool. I understand that someone paid someone to get that ad there, but I don’t think an app is the place to advertise; it cheapens the app considerably. Once you get past the ad-share screen, you are greeted by six defaut New Years resolutions on a notebook pad type of graphic; save more, spend more time with family, learn new skill, go “green,” control app store spending, and eat right are the default options. You also have an edit pad, which allows you to delete the default resolutions and the resolutions you’ve added yourself. An add pad allows you to add a custom resolution to the home screen.

Clicking on any of the resolutions in the home screen can modify or add information about the resolution. There are a pre-made, preset of resolutions that are built into the application. It has an editable text box for you to put a custom resolution. There is a very large text box for you to explain how you are going to do it. At the bottom of that text box you will see an “Accomplished” flag that can be set to on or off. Below that you see an options box for reminders. Reminders can be set to none, daily, weekly, every 2 weeks, monthly, or yearly.

There is not a whole lot to this application. It has a nice look, simple graphics and does exactly what it advertises. The simple interface lacks pizzaz or flash, but the applications is very easy to use. The biggest problem I had is that the alarm reminders have not alarmed or reminded me of anything, ever. I really think this functionality should work in order for me to give this application a decent rating as I would think that would be a very widely used option.

iResolve is very simple and easy to use. There is not a lot to it, but it does a good job for what it is for. Decent app.
