With MacWorld right around the corner, now is about the time when the rumors start to come from every direction. One such rumor that has recently popped up concerns the Apple TV, a multimedia platform for TVs. This rumor states that the software on Apple TV will become available for any Mac computer via a special download or separate box of software. The price for this software will be anywhere from free to $99. However, it gets sort of interesting when the rumor states that this may allow for a special gaming section of the App Store where users can then turn their iPhone or iPod Touch into a gaming controller for their TV. Do you believe it?
Although this would be a rather interesting concept, I highly doubt its truth. For one, Apple would not release that software because that would completely cannibalize sales of the Apple TV box itself. Why buy a $230+ piece of hardware when you could just install $99 software? Exactly. Furthermore, I don’t think this would be all that realistic. How many people do you know who would enjoy having a large Mac sitting in their living room just so it can dish up movies and media to their TV? Not many. You can take this rumor as you want; I think it’s highly fictional.

It whould be even better if they maid it in to an app. It's simpler for peopel to install than an os. You could have it to autostart. They could give it away for free. And maybe it could run on Windows to.
