Now the iTunes Music store is supported on the iPhone with WiFi and 3G. Yet another reason to upgrade my 1st Gen iPhone. You can preview songs, buy music, and when you sync back to your computer, everything is updated. This starts today.

Easy to upgrade your music to DRM free with songs you’ve already purchased.

iTunes plus (DRM Free music) will now have 8 million songs. By the end of the quarter all songs on iTunes will be available as DRM Free.

iTunes will now have 3 prices for songs. $.69, $.99 .29 (more will be offered at the lower than the higher). Coming in April.

One last thing for the last keynote?

Last thing = iTunes updates.

Beta launches today.

The beta is free to sign up, but eventually it will be a paid service.

A document is not directly editable online, you can only add comments etc. But you can download the document as an iWork or MS Office document to edit it on your machine. You can also export a PDF.

iWork.com works with most browsers, and operating systems. Safari, Firefox, well does anything work on IE? I guess this does.

BTW, Phil is doing a really good ‘job,’ but I still haven’t heard any booms.

Phil is apparently a rocket scientist in his free time.

iWork.com is coming in beta soon. What is it? A new service for sharing iWork documents. You upload them and then you can collaborate. Documents are viewable online so you don’t necessarily need iWork on your computer, you can add comments and notes to documents. Documents are downloadable as well.

iLife ’09 needs Leopard to run. You can get iLofe ’09, iWork ’09 and Mac OS X leopard in one box for 9, no family pack announced. Available in late January.

More table features, easier formula editing now with over 250 functions. Functions have nice descriptions of what they do and there are tool tips to help you fully understand that function when using it.

40 new templates. Some of them are pretty dorky looking, but that’s a great number. Bound to be something in here for everyone.

Support for MathType, I know I’m excited, and EndNote too (bibliography help).

Dynamic outlines allows you organize your outline by drag and drop, and it’s reflected in the document itself automatically.

Although that tab view to find the pages you want is nice.

Of course, Mariner’s already been doing that for years, and better, but yeah, I’ll use it when I use Pages.

Pages… full screen view to keep distractions away from you so you can just focus on writing.

If a call comes in, does it become part of the presentation? Again, my wife wouldn’t really like that.

One extra feature… wireless control of your keynote presentations with an iPhone app. You see your slides, your notes and flick your finger to advance slides. It’s not free, but it’s only $.99

New text transitions, and chart animations that make your charts look cool. There are more themes too.

The transitions are pretty awesome, but it’s going to take a long time to get these kind of effects since each object has to be separate, the more the better. So take your time and add a ton of objects.

Keynote can now do custom moves of objects between slides.

John Fogerty’s now teaching me to play Proud Mary. The video sits on top of the chord notation. Quite handy. So, where’s the iGuitar?

Now you can buy songs in at least 3 forms from Apple. The song, the music video and now the music lesson so you can play it yourself.

Now Apple has it’s sights set on musical instructors. Apparently, we won’t be needing them anymore.

So far: iPhoto ’09, iMovie ’09 and now GarageBand ’09 and we’re only going to talk about one of the cool new features and it’s called Learn To Play.

Title images and transitions are absolutely gorgeous. I may actually have to bother learning how to do this.

Maps animates your travels from one location to another to another to another… There are a number of different themes for a customized look.

There are new adjustments for slowmo or fast motion and some effects to enhance your videos

Aliens fear iMovie…to easy to determine that the UFOs are real with all this image stabilization and slow-mo.

Now all of us can try to figure out if bigfoot’s real and who really shot JFK.

Video stabilization works amazingly.

The Missing Manual folks are shooting of party streamers and dumping wine on each other right now, because people will be looking for help with all of this. Plenty of help.

I take that non-linear comment back (partially). With the precision editor, there are two layers for editing video. I still want more.

The interface is massive. I can’t imagine how small everything will look on my Macbook.

There are a lot of context sensitive pop-up menus that make editing some things easier, but you’ll definitely need to get used to it.

It’s still not the greatest for non-linear editing.

iMovie now has video stabilization too for all of us who drink too much coffee!

Apple to reintroduce actual editing features into editing software.

There’s a new travel feature that animates your travels.

New advanced drag and drop features. There are also themes that edit some things for you automatically.

iMovie ’09, hopefully they’ve made it more like the old version so it, you know, usable again.

Half an hour on face tagging and location tagging. Somebody get the hook.

Geo tagging on places is really nice and intuitive, but you lose the functionality if you don’t have a camera with Geo chip, of course.

But where’s Face Genius, that automatically selects other faces you may like based on the face you’re currently looking at.

Yeah, okay, we get it. Face tagging. Move along, Phil.

iPhoto to add special “Ohmigod I look so fat in that picture!” auto-delete feature.

iPhoto ’09 Demo Time

iPhoto ’09 now has updated printing options, more themes. Plus you can add maps for where the pics where taken. It’s all automatic.

iPhoto can automatically sync with your iPhone/iPod touch for easy sharing.

In the new slideshow feature, face detection automatically centers the faces in the frame. Wild, wild, wild new transitions.

Facebook and Flickr functionality, now you don’t need plugins!

iPhoto will now support Facebook and Flickr. It’s compatible with Faces. People can assign a name to the Facebook photo and it’ll sync up to your iPhoto account!

Places uses Google Maps to organize your photos and show you where they came from.

You can update your old photos with locations too, so you don’t need to have an iPhone or GPS equipped camera

It figures out where you where when you took your geotagged picture, more than just long. and latt., it will find things like the Eiffel Tower etc.

Places allows you to find photos by location. Places appear on a map.

Ways to organize your pictures, Events, Faces and now Places

This will cause a lot of problems for my family, I just know it.

It even has Face Recognition, it will suggest photos that it thinks are the same person… um, amazing!?

Face recognition? How am I going to feel when I search for my face and it pulls up my dog?

That’s… kind of horrifying, actually.

It works with Face Detection, it finds the face, and you type the name
