Got an original iPhone that’s just begging to be upgraded? It’s awfully enticing, with all the increased storage space and 3G capabilities, and how could you forget the new plastic case that’s just waiting to be scratched? Yes, there are a ton of reasons to upgrade, but it’s hard to justify the cost when you have a phone that works. Rapid Repair might just have a solution for you.
Rapid Repair now has a 1st generation iPhone Buyback Program. It’s fast, it’s simple and they feel the prices are fair. It could be a better idea than eBay where you aren’t guaranteed anything except fees, fees and more fees.
They’ll even buy (in some cases) broken iPhones. So, if you broke it, they might buy it. Not bad.
If you’ve decided it’s time to part with your iPhone, go to their site and fill out the (short) form. You’ll be contacted by a representative who will give you more information and details on what needs to be sent where.
The current prices for 1st gen iPhones range from about $100 to $200 (4GB to 16GB). [Fast Voice] Prices are subject to change, contact Rapid Repair for qualification, see site for details.

Even with the fees, you can get (at least) double your money on eBay from what you are getting from Rapid Repair.
Rapid Ripoff is more apropos.
The benefit to something like Rapid Repair, though, is that you're working with a company, not some random person who may or may not be out to rip you off. I use ebay for a lot of things, including technology, and have never had a major problem with a buyer. But when I discovered PowerMax for computer trade-ins, I never considered ebay again even though I could probably get more money that way.
