“Hello? Oh yes, sorry… It’s for you. They keep talking about an iPhone nano…”
“No! No, no, no, no, NO! No more iPhone nano rumors. No tips, no secrets, no nothing!”
Ok, maybe just one more. This time AppleInsider says that Economic Daily News has a source inside Apple’s Taiwanese supply chain. This source claims that bidding by some of the suppliers of components for the fabled device is already ending.
This rumor makes itself a little more realistic than the rest by putting an ETA for the iPhone nano no earlier than June 2009.
One analyst seems to think that either the iPhone nano will only launch abroad or that the iPhone Nano is, in fact, just a lower cost model instead of smaller in size. I like the second idea better. I can’t see an iPhone with a smaller screen being all that appealing to the masses, much less developers. This would imply that nano isn’t really the name of the device, I hope.
We’ll have to wait this one out, because it sounds like it’s not going to end anytime soon.
Ring!….. Ring!…..

You probably recall the pre-Macworld rumors that were sparked by supposed cases for the mythical phone. Obviously, that didn’t pan out.
