Everybody has a MacBook nowadays, and with most people taking the notebooks on the go, many seek sleeves and protectors to encase them in. Woodworker Rainer Spehl has come up with a, well, more alternative case.
Designed for the 15-inch MacBook Pro (previous aluminum generation) and the MacBook, the cases are carved from wood and are lined with leather. Magnetic fasteners secure the cases/boxes shut, and (hopefully) protect your laptop from harm. Although these sound incredibly DIY, they look unbelievably professional. In fact, if I had room in my bag (and if the case was practical), I’d be ridiculously tempted to buy one. Unfortunately, the only way to buy one of these is to contact the maker himself and ask for one specifically. There’s no price available on these, it’s all handled with direct contact.

They're listed at 240 Euro on his website. They do look kinda cool, but not very practical.
