Just a quick heads up to anyone who ordered iLife ’09. Depending upon when you placed your order, it may already be on it’s way to you. Apple promised late January, and it couldn’t get a whole lot later. Let’s just be thankful it’s on time.
iLife ’09 will bring a number of different updates to the iLife package. The most significant updates can be seen in iPhoto, iMovie and Garageband. iPhoto gets Faces and Places (new ways to sort your pictures). iMovie gets a little more powerful in the department of editing video, but the real feature here is what I like to call iStabilize. With it, you can make shaky video watchable, though I’m not sure anything could make The Blair Witch Project watchable. Garageband gets more effects and music lessons. You can buy song lessons in Garageband taught by the original artist. Now Apple can sell you the same song in no less than three different formats!
If you haven’t already ordered your copy of iLife ’09, I highly suggest you look at the Family Pack. With it, you get four extra licenses to use on any Mac in your house, and it only costs $20 dollars more.
