iPod classicApple’s current iPod line tops out at 120GB, lowering the bar from the previously available 160GB classic model. However, even more space for music is available thanks to Rapid Repair, an iPod (and other devices) repair firm. As soon as it’s available, Toshiba’s newly announced 240GB hard drive will be available for replacement in 5G iPods. Lack of availability, along with the drive running around $295, are the only downsides. Yes, you’re paying the cost of a brand new iPod to have your old one upgraded, but if one truly desires 240GB, the option is now available.

There’s good news, however. Rapid Repair will install the drive for free, leaving you not having to yet again crack open your iPod. Of course, if you so desire, they’ll just ship out the drive and allow you to follow along with a replacement guide. Remember, this will void your warranty, if those even still exist for the 5G iPods.
