Like your iPhone doesn’t have enough apps already. Oh well, that never stopped me, and it shouldn’t stop you either…well, that is, unless you’ve hit the upper limit. In which case, congrats, you somehow managed to clog your iPhone up more than I. Take a peak at this week’s list, we have the usual assortment of game demos and useful free apps. You might even find out how to save a life towards the end with wikiHow. And be sure to stay tuned for the next Appletellcast for an interview with Chris Hadley from wikiHow.

  • GTI speedometer – It’s like your own personal speedometer, though it only works if you’re moving faster than 21 mph, and have an iPhone 3G with GPS reception; so it will be fine for my daily walk to work.
  • Biplane Lite – Take to the skies and be a one-plane air force. You can race, fly through hoops, navigate obstacles and sink pirate ships. You could probably guess that this one is tilt controlled. It has relatively impressive 3D graphics, so it’s likely worth a few minutes of your time.
  • Free Slot – Will free virtual gambling ever be the same as real gambling? No, loosing copious amounts of money is difficult to do when you aren’t being charged at all. You could decide to drop your iPhone on concrete, face down, every time you lose. That might be a pretty good emulation actually of both the emotion and the financial burden that gambling may cause for you. It will help until you can make a trip to the casino to squander a few dollars. It also might be useful for kids in the back seat who won’t stop asking questions… just saying.
  • Tipulicious – Because apparently multiplying your check by 20% and rounding up is just too difficult. Personally, I don’t see the use in tip apps, but I did take 6 semesters of calculus. Thankfully, it’s free, so when you figure out that it’s pretty darn easy, you can clear some space up on your home screen.
  • Wired Frame Lite – It’s not just a picture frame app, no no no, it mixes RSS feeds, Twitter, Flickr and weather together to keep your iPhone’s screen fairly interesting. Tons of features, and you can use it to make your iPhone into a relatively large clock too. It’s great for beside the bed, just don’t slam it in the morning while you’re trying to convince yourself that hitting snooze won’t just make you both more tired and more late.
  • wikiHow – Now you can take the popular how-to manual website wikiHow.com with you in your pocket. There’s no need for an internet connection for the Survival Kit of how-to articles that concern situations that you may find yourself in that require information at a moment’s notice. There are over 50,000 articles available to peruse when you do have an internet connect. You can search for a specific topic or if you can’t figure out what you want to do, just take a look at the “How to of the day” for some help.
