A huge week on the App Store, it was. This week’s list is full of stuff you should be paying for, like a full featured Twitter client, SIRIUS XM’s streaming radio, and two games that used to not be free. Consider this your lucky week.
TweetDeck – Thought by some to be the best Twitter client available on the desktop, and now it’s available for your iPhone. Best part? It’s free. If you don’t have a Twitter client for iPhone yet, this is your most obvious choice unless you want to spend some cash.
SIRIUS XM Premium Online – It’s finally available for iPhone. You’ll want to download this if you have a subscription to satellite radio, but if you have an iPhone, why not just use internet radio? The choice is yours, I suppose. If you don’t already have a subscription, you can get an internet/iPhone only plan for around $3 a month. Not too bad if you really hate commercials, but really like SIRIUS XM.
Tatomic – Another action puzzler for your gaming pleasure. But this one is different. It runs at 60fps. Plus, it started out at $4.99, then went to $2.99, and now it’s free. Who knows how long it will last. Grab it while it’s free!
Wild West Pinball – This is apparently the world’s first professional pinball simulator for the iPhone. It too was once a paid app ($2.99), but now you can get it for free too. This one is staying at free since support for it will be dropped soon. But that doesn’t mean it’s not a great game. While we’re on the FPS stats, this one runs at 40fps.
3D Checkers – Checkers… in 3D! Who would have thought? There are two levels of difficulty, or play against a real person. A simple app, for a simple game.
WifiPad – Use your iPhone as a wireless game controller for your Mac. You can change the button layouts and even create your own themes. It’s a little backwards, considering the iPhone is what’s in need of more buttons, but maybe that will be fixed with iPhone OS 3.0 and its support for gaming accessories. Until then, have fun controlling stuff on your Mac with this!
InstantList – Remember the last time you forgot something? Probably not, but if you could, you’d wish you would have come prepared with a list. It’s a nice and simple list utility.
