Coming quietly in the night like a ninja, it appears as if Apple has updated much of their more expensive software. According to Phil Schiller in Apple’s press release, “The new Final Cut Studio includes more than 100 new features and dramatically expands Apple’s ProRes family of codecs so editors can work in the studio with the highest quality video or on location at low bandwidths.” However, it is also interesting that Apple has decreased the price tag on this product by $300 and priced it at $999, or just $299 for an update. Even better yet is that you can go to the online Apple store and purchase it right now (well, after you finished reading this post, that is)!
