And I thought this week was going to be boring, but I managed to collect a bunch of free apps for you. Plus, there are two price drops all the way to free that you’ll want to get before you have to pay again. Check it out.
- EyeStage – the companion app to anyone who owns the IPEVO Kaleido R7 digital picture frame. I think the frame is awesome, but you don’t need one to use the app. It will grab pictures using your Facebook profile, or Flickr, or any RSS feed. You could also just use your own iPhoto pics. These images will be displayed with the app’s fun transitions. It’s a great way to use your iPhone as a mini picture frame.
- RealSounds – right now this app allows you to play a realistic metalophon, but they’ll be adding more instruments as time goes by. Tinker around, music is fun.
- RainToday – when all you care about it whether or not you’re going to get your dry-clean-only clothes wet. All it does is give you the percent chance of rain for today. That’s it.
- Wikipedia Mobile – it’s about time that Wikipedia releases their own official Wikipedia app. Here it is. Nothing super fancy about it, but then again, there’s nothing super fancy about Wikipedia either, and it seems to drain enough of everyone’s time.
- Icon Keyboard – another Emoji icon utility app. But this one does a bit more. It displays the emoji’s using the whole screen, and you just tap on the ones you want and assemble them into a string of text. Then you can copy the whole thing and paste it where ever you like.
- multiTouch the Game – all you have to do is touch the dots. That’s it. You get 100 seconds, and they suggest you limit yourself to one hand. Hah. Likely.
- Manic Marble 2 Free – here’s a demo for another accelerometer-based maze type game. Looks like it has nice graphics. They claim up to 60 fps. Not bad. But there’s a warning. If you feel sick, stop playing. I like that they have to tell us that.
- WriteRoom – Bonus! This one’s free for the weekend. I’m sure you’ve heard of the desktop version of this app. It’s a distraction free writing app. Grab it… NOW!
- HexSet – here’s another short term freebie, but I’m not sure how long. It’s like Connect Four, only harder. The columns are offset of each other. Click the link, you’ll see what I mean.

It's 21st, not 21th….
I'm a bit self conscious about my lithp….
Thanks.
