One of the many useful features introduced in iTunes 9 is app management. Finally, you can rearrange and organize your apps and home screens on your iPhone or iPod touch with the ease of the mouse. I thought the best way to show off the new app management features of iTunes 9 was to just show you. So, here’s a video showing off the new feature.
Something to note, this feature is still in its infancy, so don’t expect it to be perfect. You can’t yet sort on your device by name, category, date, usage, size or by anything, really. I wouldn’t be surprised if features like that trickle their way into future updates of iTunes. But the mere fact that you can rearrange apps with a mouse is almost music to my—and many others’—ears. Gone are the days of jiggling icons on my iPhone; I’ll be doing all of my organization from iTunes from now on.

You can double-click on an app in the lest on the left to reveal where it is on the phone on the right. Nice. You can also command+click to select multiple in the left list and drag them onto the phone.
Also, the right side showing what's on the iPhone appears to even show apps purchased on the phone that haven't been synced back yet.
Oh nice, thanks for the extra tips! I definitely wouldn't have guessed the first one.
