Macintosh

  • Envivio, Inc. has introduced 4Caster C42, the second generation of the company’s Convergence Series video encoding/transcoding platform. 4Caster C42 uses the performance of the latest generation Intel multi-core server processors to deliver better quality video, make more efficient use of bandwidth and enable delivery of high definition (HD) video services to all three consumer screens. The 4Caster C42 joins the 4Caster C4 in the Convergence Series, building on the features of its precursor and giving service providers flexibility to tailor their video headend to match their requirements.
  • Dejal Systems, LLC has announced that four of their popular Mac apps have been updated for Snow Leopard compatibility: Dejal Simon, an essential server monitoring tool, Time Out, a break reminder tool, Caboodle, a lean clean snippet machine, and BlogAssist, a handy HTML markup assistant. Also, for a limited time, Dejal Narrator is available as a bonus app in TheMacBundles, a bundle of 12 great Mac products.
  • KeynotePro today has announced the introduction of Fuse* for Keynote ’09. Fuse* is available in two distinct Palettes – AC & DC – both framing a range of traditional content, photo and narrative-driven slide masters, with eye-catching charts, tables, and layouts throughout. Fuse* truly comes to life in the Fuse* Kinetic themes, producing a jaw-dropping, motion-graphics inspired feel with little more than a point click.

iPhone/iPod

  • DigiOn has announced Ichiroku, a service for iPhone which integrates schedule management and online recording features. Record meetings, memos and manage your schedule with Ichiroku anytime, anywhere, right at your fingertips. Add, edit, and delete your Google Calendar events. All changes are made directly to Google Calendar, so no local synchronization is needed. Recordings can be linked to a specific event, allowing you to share related recordings with other guests.
  • Adam’s Trouble is a brand new racy and pacey adventure game from Mlabemantras, available at the Apple store. This features Adam caught in a maze, with rising toxic liquid from the bottom. Adam wants to escape through a door at the top end, and he needs to jump to different levels, open the valve and reach for the exit door. In this bid, he has to avoid slipping and falling in the pool of toxic liquid and also the creepy creatures which crawl over the well.
  • The Sleep Cycle alarm clock, developed by Swedish developer LexWare Labs AB, is a bio-alarm clock that analyzes your sleep patterns and wakes you when you are in the lightest sleep phase. Waking up in the lightest sleep phase feels like waking without an alarm clock; it is a natural way to wake up where you feel rested and relaxed.
  • MotionObj has announced SimplyTweet Lite 2.2, adding support for iPhone 3GS video uploading and expands on its conversation viewing functionality. This is an update to the free version of their full featured Twitter application for iPhone and iPod touch. SimplyTweet combines a fast, simple user interface and a rich set of features. The paid version of SimplyTweet includes built-in support for push notifications.
  • Parliant Corporation has announced PhoneValet Message Center 6.0.3, PhoneHerald 1.1.14 and CurbTalker 1.0.3, all of which have been fully tested on Mac OS X 10.6 “Snow Leopard.” These updates are free to owners of PhoneValet 6, PhoneHerald and CurbTalker, respectively.
  • iPhone development leader Clever Coding has announced the official release of their iPhone 3D globe source code. 3D globe is an API that can easily be integrated into a project and have it up and running in less than an hour. The code is written in a way that it can easily be extended to create custom effects that naturally blend into the App. The code includes a demo App that can immediately be run and put on their device.
  • RSVP Video has announced the expansion of their iPhone app marketing services to meet increased demand. The company specializes in videos that demonstrate iPhone applications. The iPhone videos are 1-3 minutes in length and can be streamed from a web site or distributed on DVD. A clear, visually compelling demonstration of an iPhone app is the most convenient way for the consumer to judge the merits of a product.
  • Griffin Technology has introduced the latest version of its popular iTalk recorder app for iPhone and iPod touch. iTalk, already a top business app with more than one million downloads, has been updated to include a number of new improvements and features, including email support and transport controls, to create a more powerful and flexible recorder. Available today are two versions of the app: iTalk Premium, which contains the full set of new and classic features, and iTalk Lite, a simplified, free version of the recorder.
  • Stone Design has released Twittelator Pro 3.2, an update to its popular Twitter client for iPhone and iPod Touch. Version 3.2 introduces the ability to upload your photos directly to your own WordPress site with the free TweetPress Plug-In. Additionally claim your own shortened links produced by bit.ly. Twittelator Pro packs power features including multiple accounts, unlimited drafts, offline tweeting, unlimited sub groups of friends and more.
  • Griffin Technology, Inc., has continued their response to Apple’s new 5th generation iPod nano with an expansion of the Fall case collection. The cases include Outfit, brand new for iPod nano, and an update to Griffin’s popular FlexGrip. Both cases represent Griffin’s continued commitment to producing fresh, exciting accessories as functional and attractive as the iPod itself.
