Eminem and Apple court case closed

After four long years of being in debates over the infringement of 93 separate songs, Eminem and Apple have officially come to an agreement in court. Although no financial details have been disclosed yet, Eminem and his attorney Richard Busch were searching for $2.5 million in damages through iTunes downloads of the songs, with $466,915 alone coming from his hit song, “Lose Yourself.” Their argument was that Eight Mile Style LLC did not authorize Aftermath Records to strike a deal with Apple through their contract. Despite this, Aftermath is said to have collected at least $4 million in sales from these songs on iTunes.

In terms of what we do know about the outcome of the trial, Eight Mile attorney Richard Busch said, “The case was settled to the satisfaction of all parties.” He also stated that the details were confidential, but a letter has been sent to Apple and Aftermath by Yahoo! News asking for comments. Either way, it’s good to hear they have finally come to an agreement. Look for more details soon.
