EA Sports has already brought Tiger Woods PGA Tour and Madden NFL 10 to the iPhone. Now, they’ve announced that FIFA 10 is available for download, bringing the top-selling soccer franchise to the iPhone and iPod Touch for the first time. The only fully-licensed soccer game on the App Store features 12,650 players, 570 teams and 30 leagues, mirroring the 2009-10 real life teams from leagues around the world.
Game modes include Be a Pro Mode, which you create your own players and guide them from the lower leagues through to international stardom, and Manager Mode, which iPhone gamers call the shots from the top, featuring 30 licensed leagues and real player transfers.
From the press release:
I recall a couple years ago when EA Sports announced a brief, ill-fated foray into Mac gaming, bringing both Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 and Madden NFL 08 our way. Neither title moved as well as expected, however, bringing a quick end to the Apple / EA Sports relationship. Considering the large and growing number of EA titles on the iPhone, it looks as if they’ve finally found a way to make money through Apple product owners.
FIFA Soccer 10 requires iPhone OS 2.2.1 or later, and is compatible with both the iPhone and the iPod touch. It is available now for $9.99 in the iTunes App Store.
