Whether you like or use Twitter, it is certainly clear the service has had some value when it comes to promoting brands. Until recently, Apple has solely had iTunesTrailer, an account with around 1.2 million followers, as part of their social media band wagon. However, Apple has recently created a few more Twitter accounts to help promote various types of media in the iTunes store.
While some of the accounts have more followers than others, and some have yet to tweet, they are a great place to go if you are looking for some highlights of recent content in the store. I’ve personally been following iTunesTrailers for a while and have also now added iTunesPodcasts since I am an avid podcast listener. Even though you could just open iTunes and explore for yourself, it’s interesting to see what Apple is promoting and what others may think of it.
