Judging from the slew of Apple rumors centered around a possible Apple Tablet, it certainly appears as if one may actually exist in this coming year. Perhaps the most telling of these rumors is how Apple has reportedly scheduled a media event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010. While Apple has declined to comment, they may have rented the building for a couple of days. This, obviously, would mean that Apple plans to announce some sort of product or update. Whether that is for the tablet will be unknown until then.
Another rumor, this time out of Boy Genius Report, is stating that their sources are 100% sure there will be a 7 inch tablet coming from Apple in January. This report came out before the rumor of an Apple event on that day. So far, everything is matching up for a tablet announcement in January.
Adding more evidence to that is the third rumor from Business Insider saying that Apple is asking some developers to prep demos of applications in full screen mode. This size would clearly be larger than the current screen on the iPhone, meaning it is probably the same tablet to which the previous two rumors are pointing.
I have to admit, I’ve been skeptical for the past year or so about all of these rumors, but now it seems as if they are gaining traction. What do you think? Will we see a tablet this January?
