Three games from one maker: one a familiar puzzle game, one a time test of single-finger typing, and the last a truly unusual combination of spelling and mazes.
Phantom Mansion: The Red Chamber
Category: Puzzle
Developer: Zattikka
Requirements: iPhone 2.2.1 software
Compatibility: iPhone and iPod touch
File Size: 2.9 MB
Version Reviewed: 1.0
Price: $1.99
A simple puzzle game, Red Chamber challenges you to make your way through the levels, collecting skulls (“spirits” trapped in the mansion). Blocking you are locked doors, boxes which must be pushed over pits, and ghouls and skeletons which travel in straight lines. Complete a room, and another one opens up.
The game is simple and fun, but the only real challenge is in figuring out how a room must be completed (since you can’t see all of it at once, you’ll make mistakes in early movements). You’ll only need to play each level two or three times to figure out how to solve it.

Blocks with Letters On “A”
Category: Puzzle
Developer: Zattikka
Requirements: iPhone 2.2.1 software
Compatibility: iPhone and iPod touch
File Size: 7.9MB
Version Reviewed: 1.1
Price: $0.99 (Demo version available)
Blocks With Letters On “A” on the other hand, is a genuine puzzler. You start with a group of letters which must be manipulated into spelling a word. Standing in your way are sticky spots which trap letters, portal blocks to be opened or closed, and good old gravity.
It’s a matter of figuring out how the letters can be moved into spelling a word as much as what word they spell. Unlike the other two games, you can’t turn your mind off playing this. You’ll have to carefully plot your moves and start the later levels over and over again.
