As much as I wanted this to be an iPhone 24 hour diet scam, the real thing is so much better! It’s a Steadicam made specially for the iPhone. It will stabilize your video, and when your video needs don’t require movement, it doubles as a tabletop tripod.
It’s based on all of the same engineering that goes into $60,000 tech that Hollywood swears by.
“Whether you’re a novice or aspiring videographer, the Steadicam Smoothee allows iPhone 3Gs owners to have a richer experience and more fun with their iPhone,” said Steve Tiffen, president and CEO of the company.
Apparently, Mr. Tiffen thinks the iPhone 3GS’s video not only isn’t pure garbage, but is actually worth stabilizing. And I (at least partially) agree, as long as it’s not crazy expensive. We’ll find out when the product is released this spring.

The Steadicam Smoothee is out now, and it's $200 USD, for some metal tubes and a mount for the iPhone.
I don't care how shiny it is, that's a RIPOFF.
