Macintosh

  • Mac-Chi has released WhoPaste 4.3, their popular contact utility for Mac OS X. With a single keystroke, WhoPaste can create contact records from the selected text in web pages, e-mails messages, or even spreadsheets. WhoPaste supports Marketcircle’s award winning Daylite, as well as Apple’s Address Book, Google’s Contacts, and Entourage. Version 4.3 adds dynamic rule management, implementing opportunity creation in Daylite, and expanding the custom data extractions available for Daylite.
  • Yazsoft has announced the Playback Media Server – Console Giveaway. iPhone/iPod

  • Ever wish you could beat the jerks on the street or boring colleagues during the meeting? Now, you can do it with BeatHim free for iPhone.   • Artificial Life, Inc., and Starz Digital Media have announced the launch of the official mobile game for the Starz Entertainment TV series Spartacus: Blood and Sand, which premieres on Jan. 22, 2010. The game takes players into the world of gladiators where blood and brutality bring honor. Players embark on a journey of intense battles and fight for the freedom and survival of the Thracian hero. Characters, weapons and locations are realistically modeled after items and events from the original TV series along with special scenes produced by Starz Media that are featured in the game. The game offers various game modes to cater to different playing styles: Story Mode, Quick Fight, Challenge Mode, and Head-to-Head Mode.
  • In an effort to provide support for the Haiti earthquake victims, Atlanta based SimpleLeap Software has announced that 100% of all sales of their popular Mac study app, Cram for Mac, will be donated to the American Red Cross for the Haiti earthquake relief efforts. As a bonus to participants, the first 25 people to purchase Cram for Mac on January 20th will receive their popular iPhone and iPod Touch study app Cram for free.
  • Matrix has announced the launch of its proprietary V Phone offering wireless and mobile VoIP software for the iPhone platform.   • Freeverse has announced that it has partnered with AppRelief.com to aid Haiti quake victims. App Relief is a group of App developers donating their app sale proceeds to the Haitian Earthquake relief effort through the Red Cross. From now until Wednesday, Freeverse will donate 100% of its share of profits from the popular iPhone and iPod Touch game Skee-Ball, which has sold over a million units since its October release.
