Macintosh

  • hField Technologies has just launched a new generation of software for its world-renowned Wi-Fire for Macintosh. Now, Mac users who love the Wi-Fire’s long range and high performance get the comfortable look and feel they’re used to with Apple’s AirPort.
  • Green & Slimy Software has released Thoughts, a new note taking application for Mac OS X. With Thoughts users can organize their notes using the familiar page, notebook and shelve metaphors. In addition, Thoughts provides advanced text formatting, including adding images, creating tables and exporting to common Word processor formats. Additionally, Thoughts allows exporting to common file formats, such as Microsoft Word, PDF and OpenOffice.
  • Mac Bundle Box has announced its seventh promotion. Mac Bundle Box will be donating 10% of its revenue to the Haiti Earthquake relief effort to help the more than 3 million people that have been injured or killed in the recent earthquake. The bundle consists of 6 premier Mac applications from a wide variety of categories. The aim of this Mac Bundle Box promotion is to raise money for the Haiti relief for two weeks whilst still being able to support independent Mac software development.
  • Pubblog has announced the release of FileMyFiles, a new file organizing utility for Mac OS X. With one click, FileMyFiles will clean up your Desktop. With one click FileMyFiles will copy your important files and folders to your laptop when you go on the road. With one click FileMyFiles will copy them back to your desktop computer when you return. You can even schedule FileMyFiles to automatically organize all the files in a list of all of your important folders.
  • Acclivity has announced the release of AccountEdge 2010, the latest version of their premium small business accounting software for Mac. The latest version of AccountEdge comes packed with the most requested updates and features as asked for by our users. Among the notable new features are integration with Sofa’s web store Enstore, more detailed tracking of item information, profitability of a sale analysis, and bank deposit slip printing.
  • Maintain has announced Cocktail 4.7 (Snow Leopard Edition), the latest maintenance update of Cocktail for users running Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. This version adds clearing of Adobe Flash Player caches and cookies, as well as clearing of Google Chrome cookies, form values, history and page icons. The update also features overall performance improvements and addresses minor compatibility issues with Mac OS X Server.
  • BKeeney Software, Inc. has announced Font Pilot 2.5, an update to its popular font management software for Mac OS X. Font Pilot allows users to view their collection of fonts, as well as uninstalled fonts, quickly and easily. Additionally, Font Pilot offers numerous other features, such as the character map, key combo list, and print engine. Version 2.5 has several new enhancements that make getting font metrics and details easier than ever.
  • Zevrix Solutions has announced BatchOutput 3.6, an feature update to its popular professional solution to automate printing and exporting from Adobe InDesign. Developed originally for one of the largest Canadian ad agencies, BatchOutput offers output of multiple files as single pages, link auto-update, variable file names and other time-saving features. The new update lets users auto-preflight final PDFs with Acrobat droplets, as well as export InDesign files to TIFF, PNG and other image formats.
