It’s safe to assume at this point that Telltale will use Macworld as their platform for officially announcing some sort of Macintosh compatibility. Whether that’s their entire catalog remains to be seen, but even a game or two would be a great thing for the Macintosh (and the Expo). Major players such as Aspyr and Feral are sitting out this show, so any Mac gaming representation will be welcome. That it’s a company with such high profile franchises as Sam & Max, Tales of Monkey Island, Wallace & Gromit and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is even better news. All of these tiles currently exist for PC and some are also available for Wii and/or Xbox 360.
We’ll have to wait for the Expo to find out which of these titles will be coming our way and when we can expect them, but it certainly gives Mac gamers something to look forward to in San Francisco this February. We’ll be sure to pass along the official announcement once it’s made, and will sit down with Telltale at the Expo on February 11th to get more information (and hopefully a sneak peek).
