Interesting post, but you really barely scratched the surface of book-related applications for the iPhone. There are a considerable number of e-book-related apps alone: eReader, Stanza, BookShelf, Kobo, iSilo, GoodReader…
Here's a rundown of some of the major ones. It's slightly out of date; I need to go through and update it one of these days, but it still gives most of the major players.
