This morning at Macworld Expo 2010, Alawar held a press conference to announce their plans for Apple gamers for 2010. The Russian company has published some of the more popular and successful iPhone games currently available—including Hotel Mogul and Farm Frenzy—and is hoping to continue that success as they branch out to the Mac and iPad.
Popular games such as the Natalie Brooks series will soon be available on both the Mac and iPhone, and the aforementioned Hotel Mogul and Farm Frenzy 2 will lead off the Mac ports. Soon to follow will be simultaneous multi-platform launches of Farm Frenzy: Pizza Frenzy and Natalie Brroks: The Treasures of the Lost Kingdom (a hidden objects game in which clues are provided to push the story line along). Although Alawar focuses mainly on casual games, theirs tend to blend genres to create a more engaging experience.
Over the course of the year, Alawar will release not just multi-device games, but numerous platform specific games, as well. They haven’t yet announced any Mac specific titles, but did highlight the following iPhone games that will be released over the net six months:
- Vampire Saga (hidden object)
- Beach Party Crazy (time management)
- Vacationl Mogul (Hotel Mogul series sequel)
- Farm Frenzy 3 (more goal oriented than previous Farm Frenzies)
- Settlement: Colossus (mix of hidden object, RTS, and puzzle games)
