Macintosh

  • app4mac has released both Presto 1.2, and Jump 1.2.1. Presto allows users to define abbreviations for frequently used phrases. With Jump, users can quickly access to their Applications, Documents and Folders. With Presto, you will be able to quickly insert standard greetings, signatures or phrases into any application. Jump is a cool utility designed to quickly launch applications, open documents, or access folders.
  • Coherent Graphics Ltd has introduced Proview 1.0, their new full-featured PDF Editor for Mac OS X. Sporting a simple, clean interface, Proview features a wide range of tools to edit existing PDF documents, as well as build new documents from scratch. Easily manage PDF bookmarks, add or remove PDF attachments, and add text and dates to one or more pages. All functions are easily accessible, and Proview ships with comprehensive interactive help.
  • ExactCODE GmbH has released ExactScan 2.9, a major update to its popular scanning solution. Version 2.9 comes with improvements in image processing performance. New mid-range document scanners with a sustained thru-put of 60 pages and 120 duplex images per minute required revisited image processing algorithms. ExactScan 2.9 is now able to process, color correct, auto-crop and de-skew and compress up to ten times faster than previous versions.
  • Elevated Software Development, Inc. has announced fScanX 1.4, an update to their unique scanning solution for Mac OS X. Featuring both flexible scripting options and an easy-to-use interface, fScanX was developed specifically to provide native Mac OS X support for high-speed Fujitsu scanners. The package includes a stand-alone scanning application as well as a command-line utility and an Automator action for use in developing automated solutions.

iPhone/iPod/iPad

  • EDUmobile Webinars are fast becoming very popular amongst newbies in the software development community that would like to jump start their development. Following the positive response from the developer community at the initial Webinars, EDUmobile has planned to roll out a free to attend Webinar once a month, all through 2010 on various iPhone Development niche topics such as LBS Development, Accelerometer Programming, Multiplayer Gaming, 3D development and iPhone Testing, amongst other topics.
  • IMAGIO Co., Ltd. has updated GO! GO! Rangers! for iPhone/iPod Touch. Two new monsters have been added—Robur Carolinum and Machina Electrica—bringing the total to eight. Also, two new Heroes are added—Ranger Star and Ranger Thief—for a total of 14.
  • Vopium has announced a range of new features to its award winning Mobile Application. Now it’s possible to make free calls to Skype, Gtalk and Vopium users when they are online. Besides chatting with friends on Skype, MSN, Yahoo! Google Talk, AIM, and ICQ, one can also follow them on Twitter. The new iPhone and iPod App also includes a number of cool new features. For example it is easier to send text messages and check and transfer balance to other users directly from the iPhone.
  • Mografi has announced Empire State Of Mind 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch. Empire State Of Mind is the most enhanced version of Simon Says available for the iPhone. Everything you loved about the 80′s Simon Says is here, as well as all the things that make modern gaming awesome. Empire State Of Mind features five gameplay modes including classic “Simon Says” and four challenge modes. Choose from the nostalgic tones of simon says or the sounds of the New York City streets in Classic mode.
  • PhatWare Corporation has announced PhatNotes 1.2 for iPhone and iPod touch devices. PhatNotes allows users to create notes and organize them by category, color, subject, priority, creation, authorization, and modification dates. It is the first notes organizer to offer natural handwriting recognition input in addition to keyboard entry as well as full synchronization with PhatNotes Desktop software. PhatNotes now includes a library of 150 icons which can be assigned to note items and folders.
