Macintosh

  • Ambrosia Software, Inc. has released the Multiwinia v1.3.1 update to the real-time online strategy war game for Macintosh. Multiwinia features furiously-paced action and a beautifully rendered landscape populated with digital stick men ready to follow your orders to destroy their opponents. This updated version, which is free to all registered users of Multiwinia, is available at Ambrosia’s website.
  • Qoppa Software has announced PDF Studio 6.2, a complete PDF editor that works on Windows, Mac and Linux. PDF Studio is packed with features, including the ability to edit PDF files, fill forms, review and comment, create digital signatures, assemble documents and more. Version 6.2 fills a gap by adding PDF review and edit functionality to Google Docs. It provides an integrated Google Docs file manager to upload, download and share files or whole folder structures.

iPhone/iPod/iPad

  • For a limited time, Taito is offering a selection of their classic arcade titles at a considerable discount. (If the sale hasn’t begun in your region by the time you read this, please check again later.) The following games are on sale: Space Invaders, Arkanoid and Cameltry.
  • E-MAGINE, S.A. has released iTravelAlert 1.0 for iPhone and iPod Touch users who want to remain safe while traveling. The application provides its users with real-time information on travel warnings, including terrorist threats, disease outbreaks and natural disasters. Drawing from sources such as the World Health Organization and the Department of Homeland Security, iTravelAlert data is considered the most reliable possible.
  • Onederr Inc. has released Facebook Fun 1.3 for iPhone and iPod Touch users. The application’s name is perfect, as the app provides tools for vastly increasing visibility and fun on Facebook. Through Facebook Fun, users have access to a myriad of emoticons, are able to draw with neon colours, can post a picture update and they are optionally able to share their geo co-ordinates on a Google Map.

  • Adam Malysz was won the silver at the Winter Olympics. Vivid Games’ Ski Jumping 2010 is the best selling Polish sport game on the App Store to date. Vivid is celebrating these successes by offering Boozle for free for as long as the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics last.
