With the online Apple Store down, it’s becoming quite likely that a refresh to the MacBook Pro range is only hours away. And it seems as though AppleInsider sources have managed to get the basic specifications of the upcoming laptops before their official announcement. Of course, without signed confirmation from Mr Jobs, these are only rumors, but quite solid rumors at that. If their sources are correct, here’s what we could be seeing later today:
Every model will ship with 4GB of RAM as standard and have the options of glossy, high resolution glossy or a high resolution glossy with anti-glare display. It’s very likely at this stage, that the new machines will use the latest processor from Intel, the Core i7 and that some of these models will have the option of being upgraded with a 512 GB solid state flash drive.
There’s no word on pricing from these sources, so we’ll have to wait for the Apple Store to re-appear for that, but these specifications do seem very realistic to me. They’re the obvious upgrades needed to keep these machines at the front of the game.
