iPhone 4G launch day to be June 7th?

This year’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) held by Apple is set to kick off June 7th and continue through June 11th. Coincidentally, rumors of a new iPhone (that we can pretty much consider to be true thanks to Gizmodo) as well its launch day are also on the horizon. And according to Mashable’s “sources familiar with the situation,” this June 7th is to be the day that Apple not only announces the new hardware (as it did with the 3G and 3GS) but also actually makes it available for sale.

This is certainly an interesting rumor, as it would basically rid us of the time spent in anticipation between the announcement of the hardware and its release. If this rumor is true, lines wouldn’t have time to form outside of AT&T and Apple stores as they have in the past, but I’m sure a nice group of people will be rushing either way. What do you think? Will we see the next iPhone as early as the first half of June?

  2. It might be officially announced on June 7th, but I doubt it will be released that day. I'll bet on June 25… just because.
